The Partnership
The partnership with the creators of Bored Ape Yacht Club and Rolling Stone debuted with 2,500 limited edition physical copies of the iconic magazine featuring the infamous Bored Ape on the cover. That same magazine cover went on auction as an NFT on the digital marketplace SuperRare and sold for just over $451K. They also auctioned an additional NFT cover featuring Mutant Ape Yacht that sold for just over $211K.
Additional Releases
Yuga Labs (BAYC) and Rolling Stone Magazine plan to release another 5 NFT pieces. These releases will also consist of signature Bored Apes created by several well-known NFT artists. Other global magazines such as TIME, Fortune, Vogue, and Playboy have released their own NFTs, which have made millions, which is just the tip of the iceberg of more media companies jumping on the bandwagon.
